I like breasts. I like alcohol. I like appetizers. And I like supporting a good cause. On Sunday, Jack Rose Dining Saloon hosted the DC/Philadelphia leg of Speed Rack, a traveling competition among female bartenders to raise money for breast cancer. The contest pits two bartenders racing against one another and the clock to make specific drinks for four judges. Judges at the event included former Top Chef contestant and Graffiato’s owner Mike Isabella, InsideF&B Editor-in-Chief Francine Cohen, bawdy mixologist Aisha Sharpe, and TheListAreYouOnIt Publisher and Foodie & The Beast host Nycci Nellis, who was unable to get a cocktail to fully satisfy her sweet tooth.

After several hours, seven rounds, many killed liters of Absolut and St. Germain, and four-drunk-as-fuck-judges, Karin Stanley of Raleigh, North Carolina beat out DC’s best from The Passenger, Jackie’s Sidebar, Founding Farmers, Tabard Inn, and more to take home the title of Miss Speed Rack DC. Better luck next year, ladies. May I recommend a sturdier brassiere?
