December 9, 2013 | 9:00AM

2013 was a very funny year. We had the very funny Bentzen Ball and hung out with some of the funniest people. So we asked some of these funny people and some other people we enjoyed in 2013 what they enjoyed in 2013.

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

James Adomian, one of the best/weirdest impressionists out there. (Keep reading. -ed.)

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

In movies and TV, when a character gets another character’s name wrong. It happens all the time and I’m sick of it.

Again, my podcast, “Doug Loves Movies.”

James Adomian

James is a regular contributor to Earwolf podcasts and his 2012 album Low Hangin Fruit is available for purchase.

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

Definitely @vice_is_hip is my favorite twitter I found this year. And anyone who isn’t listening to The Todd Glass Show is wasting their time-wasting time.

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

Dr. Kevorkian.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

The rule of three = fasciscm.

Kate Flannery

Kate performed at the 2013 Bentzen Ball as part of The Lampshades and is the quite possibly the nicest person we’ve ever met. And The Office. She was on The Office.

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

Tigg Notaro is my favorite comic. The Comedy Cellar podcast is my fav. For TV, Breaking Bad now and forever. My fav on Twitter is THE TWEET OF GOD! It’s really David Javerbaum. He also wrote a book as God. His back and forth tweets with Ricky Gervais are amazing. “What Does The Fox Say?” it’s the “Chocolate Rain” of the year. Catchy shit.

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

Um. Me? I had a lunch interview with Lorne in the early 1990′s and I didn’t get hired. I was disappointed, but I also felt very validated. I would have had a rough time then. I was too green and too sensitive. Women had a really tough time before Tina Fey was head writer. But he should hire Garfunkel and Oates. Also Eric Andre, Nick Kroll and Patton Oswalt.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

Carrot Top.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

Ronna and Beverly should be a show. Rich Fulcher should have his own show. His Eleanor character is insane.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

I play mahjong and Spider Solitare on set. On the road I kill time finding the oldest theaters in town.

Wyatt Cenac

Wyatt performed at the 2013 Bentzen Ball and is a former Daily Show correspondent.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

The NY based improv team Doppelganger should become a television show.

T.J. Miller

T.J. can be heard on Cashing in with T.J. Miller.

600x400_mashup

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter User/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

Betas, the Amazon.com show is pretty funny.

Joselyn Hughes and her DIY Show. She’s one of the funniest people I know but it also blows my mind what she sees and can do with the internet. She really knows YouTube like a YouTube star. She’s also a real weirdo and she’s got a REAL weird dog.

YouTube Preview Image

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

A new Executive Producer.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

Competitiveness. Everyone should be happy for others and themselves because we’re lucky to be able to do it at all.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

The Breakfast Show with Adam-O. Adam O needs his own TV show, he’s just amazing. Also, The Midnight Show should be a television sketch show.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

I either write or read and then I wander aimlessly through parking lots at Home Depot and strip malls and search for meaning in an unknown corner. Sometimes I watch movies. One time (hush, don’t tell anyone) I made friends with a squirrel. Wasn’t but a tiny squirrel who was shy at first but I won him over with Starbursts. We would talk and laugh then he would run away from me, and I would chase after him, then he would run away from me, and I would chase after him.

Nick Thune

Nick performed at the 2009 Bentzen Ball and is the host of “Nick’s Big Talk Show.”

img002-w

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

Eastbound And Down and Nathan For You are the funniest shows on TV right now. Not my opinion, just facts. Also, Brendon Walsh always makes me laugh on Twitter. His response to attacks from Todd Barry and Tom Sigura. And his xWIFE and son have pages that are fun to follow. Really enjoyed DJ Dougpound’s video series “Pound House” on BUH. And Brent Weinbach has been making some great stuff too. He’s also in Doug’s series.

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

A year ago I would have said Kyle Mooney. But they hired him this year. Now I would say Kate Berlant. Also, I have far fantasies of Tim Heidecker being a cast member but I know he probably wouldn’t do it since he has his own thing going.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

The question “Are woman funny?” I fucking hate that. Also, I know I’m perpetuating it by even bringing it up. Woman are hilarious and shut the fuck about it.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

Power Violence. They are weird and sweet and funny and tragic. It would be fun to see what they could do.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

I try not to “kill time.” I wine and dine time then put it to bed and make sure it gets enough rest. Also I like to update various aps on my phone and ruin my eyesight.

Sara Schaefer

Sara performed at the 2013 Bentzen Ball and is the co-host of the You Had To Be There podcast.

10259029783_fcfc193d1a_z

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

Comic: I know this is self-promotey but I loved Marvel’s “Now What!?” #1. I wrote a story for it. My first comic ever! (And there are lots of other great comedians’ stories featured too.)

Film: Hunger Games Catching Fire. I haven’t even seen it yet but I know it will be my favorite. I have Katniss Barbie. That should tell you something.

TV Show: I watch ALL the shows, but the Breaking Bad finale was PERFECT. I’m also really loving Scandal and American Horror Story: Coven.

Twitter: This year I love the tweets of MichelleIsAWolf, trevso_electric, and Aparnapkin.

YouTube: Modern Comedian, The Actress

Book: Rob Delaney’s book is WONDERFUL. I highly recommend it.

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

Azie Dungey, Ann Carr, Kate Berlant, Sasheer Zamata, Megan Neuringer, Mike O’Gorman. (Keep reading. -ed.)

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

The nagging misogyny that still exists in many places throughout the industry.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

There’s a super fun, hilarious new live show in NYC called Awful DJ. I think it would make a great TV show.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

I got an iPad mini as a gift earlier this year, and it pretty much has changed my life. It’s always out when I’m killing time backstage or on set. I wrote an entire web series on it while getting my hair and makeup done during Season 2 of Nikki & Sara Live.

Azie Dungey

Azie is behind the Ask A Slave series.

Azie Dungey Headshot 2

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

Favorite whatever of the year: I watched “What Does the Fox Say?” about 20 times in a row with my 12 year old sister. So I guess that is my favorite. I also liked when Kerry Washington and Jay Pharaoh did the parody of it on SNL “What Does My Girl Say?” Funny stuff.

YouTube Preview Image

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

Six more white guys.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

Sexism.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

Jordan Black, who directs my web series, does a live show at The Groundlings called “The Black Version.” It’s full of some of the funniest people on the planet, including Gary Anthony Williams and Daniele Gaither. They were named best improv show by Rolling Stone Magazine this year. It is hilarious.

Jim Norton

Jim can be heard every Monday through Friday on The Opie & Anthony Show, every Wednesday on The Jim Norton Show and his new special, American Degenerate, is now on Netflix.

img_9311

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

My favorite Twitter user is Colin Quinn because he’s managed to enrage everyone on Twitter, me included.

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

Jim Norton. Just so I can fire him.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

The audience.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

I would say The Opie & Anthony show because I’m on it and I’m made for television.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

I find a sturdy beam and hang a rope from it, just so I have something to look forward to after the show.

Seaton Smith

Seaton performed at the 2013 Bentzen Ball and is will be seen on 2014′s Fox sitcom Mulaney.

10258800954_d2e09e4f9c_z

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

Jay Larson is my favorite comic of the year. His Conan set over the summer was one of the best sets I’ve seen on late night in 20 years.

YouTube Preview Image

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

Me. He already hired me. He should renew me.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

When comics ask “What do you want to talk about?” WTF are we here for? I’m not here to hear my own stupid thoughts. You have the mic, fucking say something or get offstage.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

There is this podcast called Dale Radio where the host is like this old school TV show host, well dressed and drunk. It is fun as fuck to watch.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

I run. I travel to obscure locations and find state parks and try to get lost in the woods for 6 to 8 miles.

Jena Friedman

Jena performed at the 2013 Bentzen Ball and is a field producer at The Daily Show.

10260755896_5b9a86f4de_z

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

TV: Nathan for You
Web: It’s a toss up between “Paulilu Mixtape” on Above Average and Caitlin Doughty’s “Ask A Mortician”
Live: Kate Berlant opening for Father John Misty was one of the best live performances I’ve seen live in a while.
Twitter: Ellen Martel, Walmart Newsroom

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

Sasheer Zamata, Jet Eveleth, Paul Downs

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

Rape jokes, JK, they’re my bread and butter.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

I kill time by contemplating my mortality

Brooke Van Poppelen

Brooke performed at the 2013 Bentzen Ball and was on John Oliver’s NY Stand-Up Show on Comedy Central.

10274472125_c6b8b0a431_z

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

Not sure how I stumbled onto him but when I’m in need of a really good belly laugh, I scroll through Bridger Winegar’s Twitter stream. So consistently weird and hilarious!

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

I would re-hire Fred Armisen! I would throw bags of money at him and beg him to come back even though I, Lorne Michaels, know that he’s happy and flourishing in his natural habitat of Portlandia. But since he’s not coming back I’d hire Nicole Byer or Alice Wetterlund from Girl Code. They both have really defined characters but can still play many roles. They make me giggle.

YouTube Preview Image

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

Comedy competitions. Relax, everybody.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

Whiplash at UCB should become a TV show. Every once in a while I hear rumblings that maybe something’s happening and I know they filmed some concert shows but come on! Give Whiplash a show! Hannibal’s Comedy at The Knitting Factory also has all the makings of an exciting televised stand up show with DJs. It’s so fun!

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

I spend a lot of time looking for the perfect karaoke song and watching old music videos on YouTube. I wanted to sing “Say Say Say” by Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson and whoa– forgot how weird and long that video is! They’re ALL weird and we just grew up accepting that.

Ben Kronberg

Ben performed at the 2009 Bentzen Ball and his 2013 Comedy Central half-hour can be purchased on iTunes.

ccsu_thh_02_0214_08

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

My fav comic/comedy victory is Brody Stevens. He is so fun and funny and inspirational and crazy and nice.

tumblr_mm14xrpmkl1rf3iouo1_500

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

I think SNL should have guest directors. I’d love to see a Quentin Tarantino SNL. He picks the host or he hosts and he picks music and they do the soundtracks for the sketches. I was high when I wrote that/this. Whichever. Whatever.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

To wish anything gone from comedy forever might interrupt its DNA too much. Let’s let comedy do whatever it does.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

It’s funny how things aspire. There are TV shows that wish it could have its own podcast and popular Twitter account. Murderfist should have their own show, but they probably already do and I just don’t know. Mike O’Connell should have his own TV show. He is brilliant and hilarious. Everything should get their own TVshow. Not every TV show that gets made should or is worth it even after it is popular.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

I kill time on the road by masturbating. I kill time on the set by eating. And I kill time backstage by praying to god.

Brandon Wetherbee

Brandon performed at the 2013 Bentzen Ball and is the host of the You, Me, Them, Everybody podcast. He is also the managing editor of BYT DC.

10256176973_f097b1618d_z

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

The Chance the Rapper/Mel B/Henry Rollins/Questlove episode of The Eric Andre Show.

58p52

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

The stand ups on the writing staff for a stand up segment between the second musical performance and final sketch.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

The question, “Are we cool?”

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

The Puterbaugh Sisters “Entertaining Julia” would be fantastic as an old school, 70s style variety show. The late, great podcast “RPM” would be great for a network like Esquire as a half-hour weekly.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

Eating, praying and loving.

Samm Levine

Samm performed at the 2013 Bentzen Ball and can be seen and heard on Kevin Pollak’s Chat Show.

10260656504_0559879056_z

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

I’m such a big fan of Paul Scheer, Jason Mantzoukas and June Diane Raphael’s “How Did This Get Made” podcast. As a lover of movies, nothing upsets me more than seeing two hours of garbage on screen. These three (plus occasional special guests) feel my pain and offer up their own take on how that episode’s abortion of a film became a reality. If you consider yourself a movie fan even in the slightest, this is the podcast you should be listening to.

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

James Adomian. Aside from being hysterical and a great actor, he has perhaps the deepest well of impressions and fully formed characters of anyone I know. It’s nothing short of a crime he isn’t on television regularly.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

Questions about whether or not women are funny. They are. We solved the case. Let’s move on.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

Kevin Pollak’s Chat Show. This podcast, now in its fifth year, is without a doubt the most in depth interview show around. Kevin spends nearly two uninterrupted hours with that week’s guest covering anything and everything you’d ever want to know about them. It’s one of the rare podcasts recorded on video, making it the perfect candidate to seamlessly transition to television. To be fair, I’m a producer of the program and appear on nearly every episode. But please don’t hold that against the show.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

Three words: cocaine and Sudoku.

Brandon Wardell

Brandon performed at the 2013 Bentzen Ball and answered all of these questions in CAPS LOCK. This was his decision. We did not decide to change the text. This was an artistic decision made by comic Brandon Wardell.

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

PLEASE FOLLOW @BEEBEE880 ON TWITTER. HE’S NOT A COMEDIAN OR ANYTHING, JUST AN AMAZING SINCERE SOUL FROM SACRAMENTO NAMED BRIAN THOMPSON OBSESSED WITH BUSES. BETTER THAN ANYONE TRYING ON TWITTER. LOOK AT HIS BEST TWEETS.

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

CONNER O’MALLEY. WATCH ALL OF HIS VINES WHERE HE JUST MAKES RICH WHITE DUDES UNCOMFORTABLE. ALSO HE’S LITERALLY ALSO A GREAT SKETCH ACTOR SO JUST HIRE HIM, LORNE.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

MAYBE COOL IT ON THE JOKES ABOUT HOMELESS PEOPLE. IDK IF THEY REALLY NEED TO BE “TAKEN DOWN A NOTCH”.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

I’M BOUT TO MOVE TO LOS ANGELES ON JANUARY 20 SO IF THE PRESIDENT OF TELEVISION IS READING THIS, PLEASE GIVE ME A TV SHOW AND ALL THE MONEY.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

REFRESHING MY TWITTER INTERACTIONS, REFRESHING WORLDSTARHIPHOP, JUST GENERALLY MAKING MYSELF A SHITTIER PERSON.

Jenn Tisdale

Jenn performed at the 2013 Cape Fear Comedy Fest. She is also the ad/promo guru of BYT.

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

The Pete Holmes Show is my new favorite late night show replacing no one really as my old favorite late night show. I’ve been obsessed with Pete for a while now via his podcast You Made It Weird which usually involves one guest, a comic, and three topics: religion, sex and comedy in no particular order. He has such a delightful way of touching on these topics and brings that childish wonder into his show. Bonus: He is an amazing sketch writer/performer. I hope it sticks around because he’s one of the few comics I eagerly watch.

YouTube Preview Image

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

James Adomian: brilliant character comedic actor with a sharp fucking political mind. He has ALL THE ENERGY IN THE WORLD and is absolutely mesmerizing to watch on stage. He’s an openly gay comic which is just frosting on the not enough diversity cake but is by no means why he should be hired. He’s just fucking hilarious. Plain and simple.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

The near-constang arguments centering around joke premises. I rarely mind the topic people address as long as they are FUNNY about it. Take a sensitive topic and approach it from a refreshing angle. Comedy is about adding not subtracting. So…instead of checking everybody else’s comedy lawns to make sure they’re clean why not break out the rake and take care of your own.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

The Nantucket Film Festival teamed up with Ben Stiller’s company Red Hour to do some comedy roundtables and they were incredible. My absolute favorite was hosted by Michael Ian Black with Stiller, Mike Myers and Seth Meyers. It gave me such a lovely insight into comedy and brought 3 people together on a stage who might not normally be in the same room. I had this moment the other night while watching it where I remembered why I love comedy. It was very surreal and sounds super pretentious. Mike Myers was discussing the process of voicing Shrek and initially he went with a heavy Canadian accent. After looking at the character further he felt, in his gut, that a Scottish accent would be funnier. Obviously he was right. So much so that he got a handwritten letter from Stephen Spielberg thanking him for taking such an interest in making a good film. That’s what I want to do. I want to nurture that comedy instinct and I want to really understand what is funny, because I do care. I would love to see this as a regular TV show.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

I pace a lot. I go over my jokes in my head because my terrible memory is an albatross. I feel like that makes me look antisocial but I’m just having some sort of early onset Alzheimer’s and am terrified I’ll forget everything on stage. Please forgive me fellow comics.

Chris Trew

Chris is the man behind the Air Sex Champhionship, comedy at the FunFunFun Fest in Austin and Hell Yes Fest in New Orleans.

9070489428_1c935a8762_z

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

Huge fan of The Eric Andre Show. I got to see it live for the first time at Hell Yes Fest and it was remarkable. At its best the television show is a work of art. At its worst it’s still one of the most captivating things on television.

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

Someone who doesn’t have a Chicago, New York or Los Angeles mailing address. I hope a new trend is shows like SNL making a serious attempt to give opportunities to performers holding down the scene in cities on the comedy rise like Austin, Portland, Richmond, New Orleans.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

Improv. Just kidding. I wish people who make fun of improv and have never seen a good improv show would disappear. Not to say that you can’t make fun of improv in an interesting way. This WOMEN sketch, for example, makes fun of suggestion grabbing at an improv show and it’s great and suggestions in improv are for the most part, antiquated and not necessary.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

I was really impressed with Bridget Everett this year at FunFunFun Fest. The nature of the act wasn’t a necessarily new thing but her commitment and style was some captivating shit. I’m also a big fan of the Miami Improv Machine, a character-based short form improv show put on by Dean’s List, a comedy group in New Orleans I’m very fond of. It’s exactly what you would think a Miami-based Who’s Line is it Anyway would look like.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

Twitter and Instagram are the obvious answers because they are the best answers. So my first answer is checking Twitter and Instagram. Second place is making fun of people who are really bad at Twitter and Instagram. Third place will be coming up with a more unique answer for the question for next year’s article. Am I invited back to this thing next year or did I screw it up?

Andrew Bucket

Andrew performed at the 2013 Bentzen Ball and is a regular contributor to Brightest Young Things.

10290682093_2071a76f40_z

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

Nothing drives me more bananas than somebody asking if I’ve seen a video and when I say no they go “uggghhhhh” and pull out their phone in public and look it up. Send me a link, you pleb, we are in public! But I made somebody watch Kyle Mooney’s “Lost” on my phone in a restaurant. It is so perfect.

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

So many conversations start with people telling me that I’m Lorne Michaels.

I would hire Marlo Meekins. She’s famous on Vine and relentlessly original and funny.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

Probably burlesque. But honestly probably the stage. Heckling is harder when I’m IN YO FACE.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

I would love if the Risk! podcast was a show. I also love Comedians in Cars Drinking Coffee.

I’d watch a show with funny interesting people pre-gaming in one of the model living rooms in IKEA.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

I like being backstage with chatty people because it gets me warmed up to talk fast. On the road I like joshing around for ideas and listening to silly music. Last trip we listened to Baz Lurman’s “Everybody’s Free.”

Haywood Turnipseed Jr

Haywood performed at the 2013 Bentzen Ball and is the host of Highway Robbery.

10258881596_781727ee75_z

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

Comic: Tony Woods, I paid to see his show and then got paid to do a show with him. So awesome.

Film: 12 Years A Slave, best horror movie I’ve ever seen.

Bit: Huggie Lowdown from Tom Joyner Morning Show, the McDonald’s employee, who loses his McMind (filmed at The Howard Theater)

TV Show: I have two; Sesame Street, & It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Sesame Street has had a number of well written parodies this season;Homelamb; Sons of Poetry; & Birdwalk Empire, all hilarious. ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ is just good clean fun, for my sick brain.

Twitter: @NaimaAmore - hilarious young walrus! (whatever that means)

YouTube Video – Charles Ramsey “Dead Giveaway: – “we eat ribs w/ dis dude”

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

Eric Andre, Nick Cannon, Craig, Damien, & Dante’ Wayans, Tiffany Haddish

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

The open letter format from comedians and audience members alike. Unless its uplifting, take the shit to Facebook or Twitter where it belongs. Or even better, say it to their face and leave us mere mortals out of it.

Also, mock rap groups. It’s all good when the folks have hip hop knowledge, in that case, its usually parody. But when it’s done by casual rap fans, its blasphemy. If you don’t know the term and what it really truly means, STOP, what U doin’, Cuz U about to ruin, something I, & others Luv! One!

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

I’m away from the fam, so I do what I can’t do at home: sleep, review/edit material, slay dragons and unlock universal secrets!

Sara Armour

Sara performed at the 2013 Bentzen Ball.

10251803696_e5c4039b4a_z

What’s your favorite comic/film/bit/podcast/tv show/Twitter user/YouTube video/whatever of the year?

Good Neighbor is probably the funniest and most creative sketch group I’ve ever seen. Emmie Lichtenberg has been cracking me up on Twitter. I’ve loved what I’ve seen of the Amy Schumer show. The only podcast I’ve ever really enjoyed is Makin’ It by Rikki Lindholme, it’s great, so inspiring, although she hasn’t had a new episode in a while. Ch-ch-ch-ch-check it out!

You’re Lorne Michaels. Who do you hire?

Sara Armour, Randy Syphax and Adam Friedland within the next 5 years.

What do you wish would disappear from comedy forever?

I wish hosts who do long bits between other peoples would disappear forever.

What podcast/sketch show/live show/whatever should become a television show?

Good Neighbor, although most of those guys are working for SNL now, anyway. Funny Moms, anyone!?!? How about Funny Moms!? Make it happen, Brandon! It can come on right after YMTE Live, the TV show.

How do you kill time on the road or on the set or backstage?

Tinder.
