We love Kaki King SO MUCH at BYT (if you need proof, here are two solid pieces of evidence, including an interview and show review) so we’re SUPER excited that she’s playing a private show at Rockwood tomorrow night. We’re ALSO really happy to announce that we’ve got a pair of tickets to give to one of you and a lucky guest! She’ll be debuting new material from her upcoming album Glow, so you definitely don’t want to sleep on this one. Here, let’s all sing along and hope we get what we want!
And because we can never NOT include this:
For a shot at the tickets, all you have to do is leave us a comment saying who you’d take to this show if you could take ANYONE in the world, dead or alive, real or fictional (I would take Toucan Sam, because he is a classy, colorful bird who shares my affinity for breakfast cereals) by 2PM SHARP tomorrow (9/11) afternoon. MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR.

The smash hit comedy about romantic errors and bad manners
When Suzanna sets up her best friend Max on a blind date with her husband’s co-worker Becky Shaw, she puts into motion a series of cataclysmic events that forever change all of their lives. Like the Victorian upstart Becky Sharp, this modern Becky is unsure, overdressed and socially ambitious. But she’s no shrinking violet, as the silkily cynical Max soon learns.
A Pulitzer Prize finalist and an Off-Broadway hit, Becky Shaw is a savvy, sharp comedy of romantic errors that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats guessing what will happen next.
I would take her twin sister Juliana Hatfield, because they look alike and they both make me equally happy!
I would take one of the Easter Island statues, because they rock almost as much as she does.
