Tilted Torch wowed a packed Cinco De Mayo crowd at the Red Palace this weekend. In celebration of their three year anniversary, Tilted Torch put on a birthday bash to be remembered, featuring fire, stunts, games, and of course, sexy burlesque! Presenting a variety of acts, the Birthday Bash had something for everyone. Harley Newman (Allentown, PA) scandalized the audience with sideshow feats of the brave and bizarre, using such implements as a drill, plunger and sword to prove that his orifices are in fact stronger than steel. Tribal belly dance by Richmond’s The Muse was sensual and skilled, and Malibu (DC) performed a black-light spectacle of flag spinning in a mysterious costume. Miss Joule (DC) impressively wielded an LED hula hoop after peeling off her fabulous vintage ensemble, and Lil’ Steph brought a traditionally sexy yet whimsical performance to the stage topped off with an impeccable costume.
Three bachelor/bachlorette parties were in attendance, they had fun competing in a ribald ring toss. Vending items including mini-top hats, beautiful hair pieces and cheeky pasties were available for sale. Tilted Torch yet again blew the minds of DC’s burlesque fans with an exciting show of epic proportions! Keep an eye out for their future productions.
