On this auspicious day in 1939, horror director/mastermind Wes Craven was born, probably in a puddle of blood and gore (oh wait, that’s everyone). Craven went on to write and/or direct and/or produce some of the greatest American horror films to ever exist, including A Nightmare on Elm Street, The House on the Left, Swamp Thing, The Hills Have Eyes, Scream, etc.

So, you know, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WES CRAVEN! In celebration, here’s A Nightmare on Elm Street 5 recut as a teen pregnancy drama because, you know, why not?
