How can performers make relaxing and upbeat music to excite a DC crowd all in a few minutes? I don’t know but Volta Bureau did! This friday DC’s DJ trinity, Volta Bureau, composed of Micah Vellian (Miguel Lacsamana), Bernard Farley, and Will Eastman struck our hearts this Friday at the Black Cat through their raw, dancey, tantalizing and sexy tracks. These multi-talented DJs really gave us a live performance and kept the us intrigued not only with their unique style of dance music but their charismatic individual persona as well — WINNERS! My girl said, “Their music was certainly true to its genre and my mood positively changed by their music and the atmosphere it created.” Some people mentioned it was some good love making music; others said I can listen to this under a tree and chief a bowl. After 45 minutes of performing they left us wanting for more so we yelled “Encore Encore Encore”. They seemed to like the encouragement cause’ they came out looking like they were on cloud 9, but in a humble and mad chill way. Once Bernard enthusiastically did his thing on the vocals, Micah and Will got provoked and joined in with passion. The experience became complete and the everyone danced and smiled the entire way through.Thank you for performing another 15 minutes of grooviness for your DC people Volta Bureau.
