Whoever says local music is lame, wasn’t in the audience of Friday’s show at the Black Cat. Sure, wind/rain/hurricanes can be your excuse this time around, but what about next time? The jams were great, the crowd (while slim) was dancing and having a really lovely time. So don’t sleep on seeing some promising local acts (ones who have opened up the Sweetlife Festival (Modern Man) and toured with The Bravery (The Dustys), no less). So take a peek at the photos and keep an eye out for when BOTH bands hit the stage next. It’ll be worth it. Especially for the excessive use of smoke machines.
