I’ll go first: Originally a backing band for burlesque shows, in their early years DeVotchKa also toured with fetish model Dita von Teese.

When John Kiffmeyer left Green Day in 1990, the band got a two-for-one deal in Gilman Street veteran and current Green Day drummer Tre Cool. In addition to Tre’s musical talents, Tre’s dad converted an old bookmobile into their tour bus and served as their bus driver.
