Last Minute Ticket Giveaway: Devotchka @ 9:30 Club

DeVotchKa, also known as the creator’s of the Little Miss Sunshine soundtrack, are hitting up the 9:30 Club tonight (and somehow tickets are still available!).  Good news for all of you, we just so happen to have TWO pairs of tickets for your last minute but oh so excited pleasure!

But fiiiiiiiirst, check out the music video for “100 Other Lovers“, the first single from DeVotchKa’s new album 100 Lovers which came out on March 1st, 2011.

I’ll go first: Originally a backing band for burlesque shows, in their early years DeVotchKa also toured with fetish model Dita von Teese.

    Yes, “Devotchka” is Russian for “girl” or “little girl,” but the band picked up the word from its use in “A Clockwork Orange.” AND Devotchka’s Jeanie Schroder played the flute in high school band.
