DC NEWS YOU CAN (MAYBE) USE…

Where we talk about stuff (happening in and around D.C.) we didn’t write about but is still something you may care to get all riled about and comment on. So, without further ado – today, in other D.C. media sources:
- Corcoran is considering selling its 17th St. location, the organization’s home since 1897, and moving elsewhere. (via Washington City Paper)

(Wikimedia Commons) - The bad news: Fruit Bat bar on H St. is closing down June 10th. The good news: It’s reopening July 1st with a new concept. The ultra-good news: starting tomorrow, every drink on the menu is $5, except for their fresh fruit punch which costs $4. (via Prince of Petworth)
- According to a new study by the American Public Transportation Association, D.C. is the No. 2 vacation destination this summer (right after Chicago), with a predicted 8.3 million visits. (via TBD)

- Feeling artsy? Capital Pride’s all-new art festival (happening this Saturday) is still accepting applications for submissions. - An Architect of the Capitol employee just admitted to stealing three truckloads of furniture from the Capitol Building; additional thefts from the Capitol by AOC employees include scrap copper, power tools, and $18,338 in cleaning supplies. (via HuffPost DC)
