- Fort Reno is back for the 2012 season this week. Tonight: Edie Sedgwick, Brenda and Art Sorority for Girls. Bring a fan.

- Live show-wise: BYT mega crush on RUBBLEBUCKET started here, continued @ Bonnaroo, got pretty steamy with this interview and lights up full flame style tonight when they play (with Dinosaur Feathers) @ The Hamilton
- And U Hall is having a good night: Nobody Beats The Drum (with Gavin Holland opening) are playing an early show, with Tittsworth and something (someone(s)?) called BRO SAFARI (don’t know what it is, don’t care, already love it) doing the late night.

- Then also: Studio Theatre is brimming (BRIMMING!) with good plays: Bachelorette and Animals and Children are both playing and both pretty unmissable, IOHO.
- At midnight: swoon over James Dean at the midnight screening of Rebel Without a Cause @ E Street
- And Lucero is probably worth a jaunt over to Baltimore

SATURDAY
- DAYTIME STUFFS: Our friends over @ The Corcoran are in full swing of their FREE SUNDAYS summer. GO.
- Starting at 4pm Maison Francaise hosts their annual (and massive) Fete De La Musique celebration . Always a delightful time.
- Gorge on Vietnamese food
- Or, speaking of food-have you ever wondered how DC food trucks stack against the Baltimore food trucks? Well, a quick trip to the “Taste of Two Cities” food truck battle will put an end to that dilema
- Later at night:
- Over @ Black Cat, Laura Burhenn and her Mynabirds return to DC on tour with her new [and decidedly more kick-ass than the once before (literally)] record. Wearing a headdress may not be a horrible idea.
- And Hot Snakes are @ RNR Hotel. Good name for a band.
- For the funny options: Rob Cantrell is @ Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse and Def Comedy Jam’s Dean Edwards is @ Riot Act
- Speaking of funny, the time to act on your Donald Glover/Childish Gambino CRUSH IS NOW.

- Maybe even stay in and cuddle with your instant netflix/on-demand menu.
- Hopefully the weather is not A COMPLETE MELTDOWN NIGHTMARE so you can DRINK OUTSIDE.
- Then: celebrate Django Reinhart (as you should) or check out the weird world of The Bacchae @ Artisphere’s Black Box Theatre
- At night: partake in the ultimate DC food fan evening with the official RAMMY Awards Ceremony (which involves cute hats to boot)
