THURSDAY
- in case you didn’t know-it is a BIG art week this week: first off, (e)merge art fair returns for the 2nd year to the Capitol Skyline, and BYT is proudly media sponsoring the 4 day art bonanza this time around too. We interviewed two of the founders of (e)merge about what to expect, what not to miss and more. The opening party is tonight and it promises to be great. Tickets here.
- On top of that-Phillips After Hours this week is themed VAMPIRES AND ZOMBIES and features Washington Ballet cast of “DRACULA” and a tour of “the dark side of the Phillips”. Good times.
- For those more into supporting the DC budding style universe than the DC art world – may we recommend swinging by Montserrat House where thirst and DC Flea (which is doing a month-long take-over of the space) are hosting a STYLEXSWAG event featuring drinks, styling sessions by some very stylish DC people (including BYT’s very own Kate Greene), style talks and more.
- Right around the corner from there-and perfect for post cocktail dance party purposes: PEACHES is doing a DJ set @ Howard Theatre.
- and late night – check out Beats on Repeat at Velvet or Suite Life @ Penn Social
