This week’s BEST WEEKEND BETS are, as always, hand selected from BYT ALL CITY and carefully calibrated for maximum fun and minimum stress, and will be punctuated with (questionably) inspirational images of Honey Boo Boo Child, the break-away star of “Toddlers and Tiaras” and youtube sensation who is now, in true-American-dream-mode getting a show of her own on TLC (premiering this week!). The girl is a sassy, redneck mogul in the making, and I mean this with all the love in my heart.

- looking for someplace awesome to eat this week? Well, you’re in luck because the Julia Child Restaurant week is in full swing and we have a great round-up of DC foodie events that allow you to celebrate the legend.
- then-we randomly ended up at Looking Glass lounge last month for this BAD PROM party and frankly, none of us could walk or talk the next day, that’s how much fun it was. Anyway-go and stuff.
- The Hood Internet is playing U Hall. We interview The Hood Internet right before they play U Hall right here.
- total nostalgia parade @ Howard Theatre with the Zombies headlining.
- and party down with Spirit Animal and Diego’s Umbrella @ Montserrat

- those crazy kids from SHARK WEEK are releasing a record and having a party to prove it (+ DJ Set by BROS) @ Montserrat House
- The Very Best, which, in fact are truly VERY GOOD are playing RNR Hotel
- there is a new bar on 14th, called Judy’s and apparently they’re about to start having shows there on the regular. Tonight’s line-up features Windian Records’ own Doozies (+ cheap margs)
- and there is a show about missed connections (which is bound to be an awkward good time, right?) at The Fridge

SATURDAY
- Big day for dance and hip hop music fans: everyone we know under the age of 25 has been hyping this TRILLECTRO jam @ The Fairgrounds for weeks-and it is easy to see why…Flosstradamus, Schoolboy Q, Body Language, Casey Veggies and more-all day long.
- afterwards-Trillectro team asked Nouveau Riche to host the official afterparty at U Street Music Hall. That means you can spend all day eating hotdogs / drinking beer / hearing ill music at the outside, then hang out with everyone at Nouveau Riche afterwards (first 200 Trillectro ticket holders get into NR free, and all ticket holders get a discount).
- also: The Silopanna Festival is this weekend - Cake, Citizen Cope and more.

- MOVIES! So much good stuff is opening this week: “Celeste and Jesse Forever”, “The Imposter”, “Campaign”- check the FILM section on Friday for reviews of all of these + OMG, WE INTERVIEW RASHIDA JONES about “Celeste and Jesse” (and they say dreams don’t come true)
- if you feel like staying on your couch and seeing moving images instead-check out our weekly HOME-ENTERTAINMENT round-up which features a nice instant-netflix sci-fi classic movies marathon with your name on it.
- bid adieu to Olympics by checking out the final day OF.IT.ALL in one of the BYT-approved Olympic watching bars.
