BYT Favorite Song of the Day: Class Actress
February 9, 2010 | 7:15AM

Sure, Brooklyn’s Class Actress is jumping on the long running icy female vocals over vintage 80s synth riff bandwagon, but I don’t care, I love this song.  Fronted by former folky singer Elizabeth Harper, they’re up front with ripping off Madonna, Depeche Mode, & Human League.  So more power to them.  This is the title track off the Journal of Ardency EP which I think comes out today.  I dare you not to bob your head to that bass and sing along with the chorus.  Double dare you.

    Gawd this song is good.

And, after YEARS of demoing it, they finally released “Let Me Take You Out.” See also one of the best Cure covers ever – “Pictures of You.”
