Romane and Lettuce @ DC Improv Lounge
Laughs and music come together in our lounge. For the last few years Romane and Lettuce have been spreading their brand of musical comedy around the District and along the East Coast. They're back together this October in our 60-seat lounge showroom, where you can experience the groove up close and personal. With Jamel Johnson, Romane Walters, Jono Allen and Devin Campbell.
Judah Friedlander @ DC Improv
Treat yourself to a championship-caliber night. The World Champion has been seen on “30 Rock,” in “Wet Hot American Summer,” and doing all kinds of videos for Major League Soccer. He’s a strong contender for president in 2016, and this October he’s bringing his campaign back to his hometown. (He’s a Montgomery County native!)
Kumite Tournament of Champions @ DC Improv
Comedy Kumite (koo-mih-tay) is a one-night stand-up comedy tournament -- eight comics enter, but only one leaves! Each "match" has two comics doing five minute sets, and the audience picks the winners. It's a showcase presented with the flair of pro wrestling, but probably less spandex. And this show is a tournament of champions -- every competitor has won a previous kumite event. Help us name the first ever Grand Champion! Hosted by Dylan Meyer, featuring Rahmein Mostafavi, Natalie McGill, Jamel Johnson, Matty Litwack, Lafayette Wright, Wendy Wroblewski, Sean Savoy and Russ Green.
Last Podcast on the Left @ DC Improv
The Bentzen Ball Comedy Festival (presented by BYT) is back at the DC Improv! Last Podcast on the Left is a comedy podcast that covers all the horrors our world has to offer both imagined and real, from demons and aliens to cults and serial killers. Each week, three comedians investigate spooky and violent events in history using gallows humor and detailed research and prove that the true crime community isn't just for "doctors" with "expertise" in their "field." The Last Podcast is guaranteed to satisfy your blood lust and make you laugh at things you will probably feel guilty about later. Showtime is 3:30 (doors 2:30). Recommended for Mature Audiences.
